    TRIP ITINERARY

    Day 1

    Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

Early departure from Cusco toward Km 82 (Piscacucho), the starting point of the Inca Trail. After registration, we begin walking along the Urubamba River, visiting Llactapata archaeological site, and stopping for lunch in Miskay.
We continue to our first campsite in Wayllabamba (3,000 m) for dinner and rest before the most demanding day of the trek.

The most challenging day! We ascend to the highest point of the trail — Warmiwañusca Pass (4,215 m), known as the “Dead Woman’s Pass.”
Enjoy spectacular Andean vistas before descending to Pacaymayo (3,600 m) for a hearty dinner and overnight in nature.

After breakfast, we continue through a section rich in history and scenery. Visit Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca (“The City in the Clouds”), all set among misty mountains and dense cloud forest.
We end the day at Wiñay Wayna, a stunning archaeological complex where we enjoy our farewell dinner with the team.

Start early to reach the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and witness your first unforgettable view of Machu Picchu at sunrise.
Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour through temples, terraces, and plazas before exploring on your own.
Later, descend to Aguas Calientes, take the train to Ollantaytambo, and return by bus to Cusco — the perfect ending to an epic journey.
