    TRIP ITINERARY

    Day 1

Cusco – Humantay Lake – Train to Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 3:30 and 4:00 am and travel toward the village of Mollepata, located in the green Apurímac Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy a local breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike.

From Soraypampa, begin a hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,780 ft). This breathtaking turquoise lake, located at the base of the snow-capped Humantay Mountain, is considered sacred in Andean cosmology.

After time to enjoy the scenery and take photos, descend back to Soraypampa and return to Mollepata for a well-earned lunch. In the afternoon, we will travel to Poroy or Ollantaytambo (depending on train availability) to board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight accommodation.

    Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the bus station to take one of the first buses to the entrance of Machu Picchu (or according to your entrance schedule). The ride takes approximately 30 minutes, with the option to hike up on foot (around 2 hours).

Once inside the citadel, enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours along the assigned circuit, learning about the history, architecture, and spiritual significance of Machu Picchu. If you booked Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain in advance (optional), your guide will indicate where to begin the hike.

After the visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch. Later, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transportation back to your hotel in Cusco.

    Meals included: Breakfast.
