Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, a Cusco Trips representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores.
This first day is free for rest or for exploring the city. If you arrive early, we recommend a walk along the coastal promenade or dinner at one of Lima’s world-renowned restaurants.

Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Tambopata National Reserve.
Your naturalist guide will welcome you and take you on a scenic motorized canoe ride along the Tambopata River toward your jungle lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the forest to observe tropical plants and wildlife.
After dinner, experience a night walk to discover nocturnal species that inhabit the jungle.

Boat ride to Condenado Lake, home to giant otters, herons, hoatzins, and many bird species. Enjoy a quiet paddling experience surrounded by lush vegetation.
In the evening, embark on a night cruise to observe caimans along the riverbanks.

Embark on a deeper jungle walk through flooded forests and swamps to reach a hidden lake surrounded by towering Lupuna trees. Observe monkeys, birds, and perhaps black caimans.

Begin your Inca Trail adventure! Hike through Andean landscapes, visit the archaeological site of Llactapata, and camp at Ayapata under the stars.

The most challenging day of the trek. Ascend to Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass, 4,215 m), then descend into the Pacaymayu Valley. Continue to Chaquicocha with spectacular views of the Vilcabamba mountain range.

Enjoy the most scenic section of the Inca Trail, passing through cloud forests and visiting Phuyupatamarka and Intipata before reaching Wiñay Wayna. Farewell dinner with the trekking team.

Early start to reach the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and witness sunrise over Machu Picchu. Guided visit of the citadel and afternoon return to Cusco by train and private transport.
